Those of us who have chosen America as our home have stories of why we came to this country and what being here has done for us. This monthly gathering of new friends is a chance to share these stories as a way to connect while giving back to our new home through various volunteer activities. These activities can be identified needs by our Partners In Caring member organizations or those identified by our We Care Team members. Where there are caring acts needed in the Capital Area, Giving Back To America, a Diaspora Day of Caring will respond!
How to Get Involved:
- Is there a need in the Capital Area you would like to suggest?
- Would you like to sponsor a month by contributing water and light snacks to our volunteers?
- We will provide Community Renewal Capital Area bumper stickers, wristbands, and pins. Do you have give-aways or information you’d like to share at the event?
- Join us the first Saturday of every month!
